Boost your energy and better your health by learning the seven-movement system of Dragon & Tiger qigong.

If you are a newcomer to Dragon & Tiger, you'll learn the physical movements of each exercise, as well as core chi energy principles and practices.

If you already know the set, this workshop can serve as an excellent way for you to review and deepen your knowledge.

One of the unique aspects of Dragon & Tiger qigong is that you can practice it at any level of skill - including not very well at all - and experience its benefits.

As you practice and learn more about the system, your skill will build and you'll garner more of its benefits. You can go as far into the system as you like.

You can easily learn the basics of the system in a weekend. And once you've learned, there are many materials to support your ongoing practice, including weekly practice emails we'll send you for 4 months and a simple Practice DVD we'll give you. You can also rely on our online course, and/or books or an in-depth DVD from our teacher, Bruce Frantzis. We also offer weekly Refinements classes throughout the year at our studio.

We hope you'll join us for this weekend, whether you live close-by or far away. The Northampton area is a beautiful place for a summer weekend visit or a longer vacation.

What is Qigong?

Regular exercises strengthen your muscles. Qigong exercises are different, they strengthen your chi, i.e. your life energy. In turn, your chi benefits all of your body's systems, from your nerves to your internal organs to your blood circulation, etc.

Through qigong exercises you can learn to tangibly feel, control, and raise your life energy levels.

The best qigong exercises - like Dragon & Tiger qigong - give you energy all day, not just a temporary boost.

What is Dragon & Tiger Qigong?

Dragon and Tiger Qigong is a highly sophisticated system of seven gentle flowing exercises, with names like Tiger Pounces and Dragon Soars. It was practiced in the Shaolin monastery in China for over a thousand years.

It is what is known as a meridian-line qigong set. You move your hands through your chi field to clear and stimulate your acupuncture meridians. It works in accord with the principles of Chinese medicine, which teaches that if your chi is full, freely flowing, and balanced, good health and vitality will follow.

The exercises have been used recently in China and the West for purposes ranging from developing energy for meditation to treating cancer. You may benefit in any of the following ways that many of our students have:

Who May Attend

What You Will Learn

In this retreat / immersion you'll learn the seven exercises of the Dragon & Tiger qigong system.

We'll introduce you to the physical movements of the exercises and key practices for developing your life energy.

We'll also discuss the history of the exercises, explain their basic benefits, and explore how they can be adapted for different purposes, from developing effortless power to relieving chronic illness.

We'll especially teach you about the energy pathways of your hands, wrists, and forearms and how you can learn to better feel and enliven them.

You'll also learn how to breathe smoothly and deeply while doing the exercises, and about the transitions between the exercises.

We'll also explore how you can connect to and work with the natural energies of late summer and fall in your practice of Dragon & Tiger qigong.

This workshop will be taught at a pace and in such a way that persons of all levels of coordination can enjoy.

Those with prior experience in related arts and/or higher levels of coordination will feel challenged.

Those of moderate coordination capacities will feel comfortable with the pace they will be asked to learn.

And those of lesser physical abilities will find they'll easily be able to learn a version of the exercises which they can enjoy and through which they can derive benefits.

To help you practice after this workshop, for 17 weeks you will receive email tips on how and what to practice.

You will also receive a free simple Practice DVD, which shows you each movement and allows you to follow along with Bill as he does a Dragon & Tiger set.

Refund Policy

  • If you pay for the workshop and are not able to attend due to an illness, emergency, or other circumstances beyond your control, and we are able to to fill your space with another student, then we will refund in full the fee you paid, minus a $100 administrative fee. If we are not able to fill your space, then we will refund half of your fee.
  • If you pay for the workshop and decide not to attend for any other reason, if we are able to fill your space with another student, then we will refund in full the fee you paid, minus a $100 administrative fee. Otherwise, we will not refund any of your fee.
